Terms & Conditions
Momiji Go v0.1.0 · Last updated 19 September 2026
The short version. Momiji Go is free to play. Play it, enjoy it, tell people about it. Do not sell it, pull it apart and ship it as your own, or use it to make a nuisance of yourself to the person sitting across the board.
It is an early release, it comes with no warranty, and a headset is a thing you wear over your eyes — please read Health and safety.
1. Agreement
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are an agreement between you and BRUNA GOODS LLC ("we", "us", "our") covering Momiji Go (the "Game") and these pages. By loading or playing the Game you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not play.
The Game is currently at version 0.1.0: an early release, under active development, and subject to change without notice.
2. Your licence to play
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to load and play the Game for your own non-commercial entertainment. That licence does not let you:
- sell, rent, sub-licence or otherwise charge for the Game or any part of it;
- copy, re-host, repackage or redistribute the Game, its code, its models, its textures, its fonts or its sounds, in whole or in part;
- reverse engineer, decompile or modify the Game, except to the extent the law expressly says you may despite this clause;
- remove or obscure any notice of ownership, authorship or licence;
- use the Game, or anything taken from it, to train a machine-learning model or to build a competing product.
Recording, streaming and writing about the Game — including monetised video and streams — is expressly permitted and welcome, provided the Game is credited by name.
3. What belongs to whom
The Game and everything in it — the code, the artwork, the character of Lord Tsukikage, the music, the sound, the name "Momiji Go" and the marks and logos that go with it — are owned by BRUNA GOODS LLC and protected by copyright and other laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of that to you.
Third-party components
The Game is built on open-source software used under its own licences, and those
licences govern those components rather than these Terms. They include the
Immersive Web SDK and Three.js (MIT), Trystero for peer-to-peer play (MIT), and
the Noto Sans CJK fonts under the SIL Open Font License 1.1 (full notices in
public/fonts/LICENSE.txt). The rules of Go belong to nobody.
4. Two-player games and conduct
A two-player game connects your browser directly to your opponent's — there is no server of ours in between, no account, no chat and, consequently, no moderation. A room code is a temporary four-digit number; sharing it invites whoever has it to play you. See the Privacy Policy for what is exchanged, including the fact that a direct connection necessarily reveals your IP address to the other player.
When playing another person, you agree not to:
- harass, threaten or abuse them, by gesture or by any other means;
- attempt to disrupt, intercept or tamper with the connection, or to send the Game anything other than what the Game itself sends;
- use software to play moves on your behalf and pass it off as your own play;
- attempt to identify, locate or contact the other player outside the Game without their consent.
We cannot see, referee or intervene in a game between two other people. If someone behaves badly, leave the game — closing the tab ends the connection immediately — and, if it warrants it, tell us at support@bruna.world.
5. Health and safety
Momiji Go can be played in a virtual-reality headset. Before you do:
- Follow your headset manufacturer's own health and safety guidance, including its minimum age requirement. We do not supersede it.
- Play seated, with room around you. The Game is a seated, stationary experience with no walking in it, but you will reach for a board that is not there. Clear the space around your arms.
- Stop if you feel unwell. Discomfort, dizziness, nausea, eye strain or disorientation are reasons to take the headset off, and to stay off it until the feeling has passed entirely.
- Take breaks — a few minutes every half hour is the usual advice.
- Photosensitivity. The Game contains moving light, flashing effects and rapid colour change. A small number of people may experience seizures when exposed to these. If you or anyone in your family has a history of seizures or epilepsy, consult a doctor before playing.
- Do not play while tired, under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or when you need your full attention elsewhere.
You are responsible for your own safety and for that of the people and property around you while playing.
6. Availability and changes
The Game is provided free of charge and we make no promise that it will remain available, remain free, or remain the same. We may change, suspend or discontinue it, any feature of it, or these pages, at any time and without notice. Two-player play depends on your network, your opponent's network and third-party relay and STUN services, none of which we control, and some network configurations will never manage a direct connection.
7. No warranty
THE GAME IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE GAME WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT ANY DEFECT WILL BE CORRECTED.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BRUNA GOODS LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, OFFICERS AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE GAME, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE GAME WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED UNITED STATES DOLLARS (US$100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages, so parts of sections 7 and 8 may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Where such an exclusion is not permitted, our liability is limited to the smallest extent the law allows.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold BRUNA GOODS LLC harmless from any claim, loss or demand, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Game.
10. Termination
Your licence ends automatically if you breach these Terms. You may end it at any time by ceasing to play. Sections 3, 7, 8, 9 and 11 survive termination.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the state and federal courts located in the State of Washington will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of them. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in.
12. General
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us about the Game. If a provision is held unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to a successor to our business.
We may amend these Terms. The version in force is the one published here, with the date at the top of the page; material changes will be noted in the Game's release notes. Continuing to play after a change means you accept it.
